The name “Kayon” refers to the sacred tree-of-life motif in Javanese wayang shadow puppetry — a symbol of growth, balance, and the interconnection of all living things. “Nusa” means “island” in Bahasa Indonesia, honoring the archipelago that gives us our materials and our spirit.
